Intralox Baltimore-Kettering Spring 2025 Co-op ProgramIntralox,
L.L.C. located in Hanover, MD is looking for an Engineering Co-Op
to join our team. If you like being hands-on, solving problems,
designing new concepts and processes, and seeing how your ideas
impact the bottom line, you are a good fit for Intralox. This would
be a full-time opportunity for the 2025 A and B sections.In this
hands-on role, you will interface with a team of engineers and the
manufacturing team to test, troubleshoot, and develop new concepts
on our products and material handling solutions. You will use your
engineering principles and mechanical skills to build innovative
solutions to real-world material handling and conveyance
challenges. You will be directly involved with the function and
performance of each piece of equipment we deliver from our facility
and can make a significant impact on the operations as well as the
achievement of goals for the company.Intralox is a division of
Laitram, L.L.C., with an extensive portfolio of innovative
conveyance solutions and services that improve lives and optimize
businesses worldwide.Responsibilities:
- Support, develop and promote modular plastic belt through
application specific testing.
- Achieve client requirements through theory, application, and
use of Intralox product line.
- Directly involved with the function and performance of each
piece of equipment delivered.
- Test, troubleshoot, and develop new concepts on our products
and material handling solutions.
- Use engineering principles and mechanical skills to build
innovative solutions to real-world material handling and conveyance
challenges.
- Collaborate and coordinate with internal and external
stakeholders to fulfill project requirements.
- Generate reports reflecting significant test results and
methodology.
- Provide 2D/3D design support to design engineer team for design
of new test equipment and products for test/prototype
applications.
- Database maintenance of historical documentation for testing
results.
- Create and execute a thorough test plan and document all
results in a clear and organized method which can be shared with
and comprehended by all team members.
- Support Account Managers and Application Engineers in the
selling and implementation of conveyors.
- Follow all safety procedures and policies while on production
floor.
- Exhibit teamwork and self-management.Requirements:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable with using measuring devices, hand tools, and
reading and understanding electrical schematics, P&ID, and
mechanical drawings.
- Must possess a strong technical and mechanical aptitude.
- Positive, proactive attitude, with strong attention to
detail.
- Comfortable with hand, air, and power tools such as a tape
measure, level, mechanics tools, drills, impact guns.
- Goal oriented team player.
- Innovative thinker with strong problem-solving skills.
- Willing and able to be hands on and work with all levels and
types of people I.E. Account Managers, Engineers, Technicians,
production staff etc.
- Excellent computer skills with working knowledge of 3D
CAD.
- Proficient with Microsoft programs specifically with Excel,
Word, OneNote, and PowerPoint.
- Able to perform weekend work when needed.
- Ability to lift 40lbs.Preferred Skills:
- Previous experience with AutoCad, Inventor, or equivalent CAD
Software.
