This role is critical to the design, construction, testing, and maintenance of a robust architecture that supports the reliability and quality of data to meet the business's data needs. You will be responsible for designing, creating, deploying, and managing the enterprise data architecture. Additionally, you will employ a variety of tools and technologies to prepare data for use in advanced predictive and prescriptive modeling, ensuring the integrity and accessibility of data for business decision-making.Requirements:

  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • This role is onsite (5 days onsite/week).
  • Candidate must be able to obtain Public Trust clearance.Qualifications and Experience:
    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Engineering, or related field.
    • A minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in data warehousing, data mining, and data modeling.
    • Identify strategic data requirements of an enterprise.
    • Determine how an enterprise's data will be stored and utilized.
    • Assess the enterprise's internal and external data and design a blueprint to manage the available data.
    • Proven experience with designing, building, and maintaining complex data architectures.
    • Deep knowledge of data mining algorithms, statistical analysis, and advanced analytics.
    • Experience working with large, diverse datasets and implementing data preparation processes for predictive and prescriptive modeling.
    • Strong proficiency in SQL and ETL processes, data modeling, and database management.
    • Expertise with data mining tools and platforms such as Python, R, SAS, or similar technologies.
    • Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Databricks, Machine Learning, RAG) and cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google BigQuery, Snowflake).
    • Selecting and managing the best database management technologies, tools, and interfaces for the organization's specific needs.
    • Monitoring and optimizing data systems, data lifecycle, and infrastructure to ensure performance, scalability, and integrity.
    • Offering guidance to development teams, data analysts, and other stakeholders on best practices, data standards, and governance to maximize business intelligence and business analytics effectiveness.
    • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
    • Experience working in a cross-functional team environment and ability to collaborate with business stakeholders to meet data requirements.Responsibilities:
      • Data Architecture Design & Maintenance: Maintain and optimize data architectures to ensure high availability, reliability, and performance of all data systems.
      • Data Modeling & Mining: Develop and implement data modeling strategies to transform raw data into useful, actionable insights. Ensure that the architecture and processes can handle diverse and large datasets required for predictive and prescriptive modeling.
      • Data Preparation for Advanced Modeling: Prepare and transform data for use in advanced analytical processes such as predictive and prescriptive modeling, using a variety of tools (e.g., Python, R, SQL). Leverage data wrangling, transformation, and cleansing techniques to ensure datasets are ready for complex analysis.
      • Testing and Quality Assurance: Develop and execute comprehensive testing plans for data processes to ensure the highest level of accuracy, consistency, and integrity. Ensure that data pipelines are automated and scalable, and that data is validated for quality before being used in analysis.
      • Collaboration & Cross-Functional Support: Work closely with data engineers, data scientists, business analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure the data infrastructure supports the organization's strategic goals. Act as the subject matter expert to guide and support teams in leveraging data architectures and tools effectively.
      • Tool Utilization and Automation: Utilize advanced tools and technologies to streamline data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes. Implement automation strategies for data preparation and workflow processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual efforts.
      • Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Develop and maintain clear documentation for data management, mining, and processes to ensure consistency, reproducibility, and knowledge sharing. Lead training sessions for internal teams to increase their understanding of data architecture and management best practices.
      • Data Governance & Compliance: Adhere to and implement data governance standards to ensure data privacy, security, and compliance with relevant regulations.
