Our work depends on Instructional Developer joining our team to help ensure fair trade practices and safety in goods production and import.The Instructional Developer is responsible for -supporting training and career development activities for federal, state, and local government clients of GDIT. The person in this entry level position will assist with the production and execution of virtual learning programs (webinars, web-based training, and virtual conferences), in-person instructor-led training, user guides, blogs, and other career-related resources. - Foundational design, development, and facilitation skills are a must.HOW AN INSTRUCTIONAL DEVELOPER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT--- Participate in developing educational strategies for new and existing instructional content to meet government training needs--- Attend consultation meetings with clients, subject matter experts and instructional designers to learn requirements and assist in creating innovative training programs and content--- Create instructional goals/outcomes and conduct research for relevant learning program content--- Create supporting content including instructor guides, student guides, supplemental training materials such as quick reference guides, web-based training, and other training content, as needed--- Support learning technology initiatives, including webinars, online courses, and self-paced e-learning--- Prepare regular program content and messaging (course descriptions, learning objectives, outreach emails, etc.)WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:--- Education: Bachelor's degree in instructional technology, e-learning, instructional design, or related field--- Required Experience: 2+ years of related experience--- Required Technical Skills: Knowledge of major online delivery and content sharing platforms (i.e. WebEx, Adobe Connect, Blackboard, SharePoint, etc.)--- Security Clearance Level: Current DHS U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Background Investigation (BI) preferred or must have the ability to obtain one. --- Required Skills and Abilities: Understanding of all phases of the ADDIE process; Willingness to facilitate training in-person or on-line via virtual classrooms; Experience or training in developing of quick reference guides (QRGs) and Instructor-Led Training (ILT) content (i.e., instructor and student guides); Knowledge of e-learning development principles; Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Works well in a team environment--- Preferred Skills: Experience engaging subject matter experts, performing quality assurance (QA) reviews, and gathering training requirements--- Location: Hybrid (3-4 days onsite) in the Virginia/Maryland and DC area--- US Citizenship RequiredGDIT IS YOUR PLACE:--- Full-flex work week to own your priorities at work and at home--- 401K with company match--- Comprehensive health and wellness packages--- Internal mobility team dedicated to helping you own your career--- Professional growth opportunities including paid education and certifications--- Cutting-edge technology you can learn from--- Rest and recharge with paid vacation and holidaysThe likely salary range for this position is $60,174 - $80,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary.
