• The Logistics & Sustainment Specialist will provide expertise in logistics planning, supply chain management, sustainment strategies, and lifecycle support for acquisition programs. This role ensures that systems, equipment, and materials are procured, maintained, and sustained efficiently to meet operational readiness and mission requirements. The specialist will work closely with program managers, engineers, contracting officers, and operational users to develop integrated logistics support (ILS) plans, optimize sustainment strategies, and ensure compliance with federal acquisition policies and sustainment best practices.
• The specialist will provide management and oversight of logistics and sustainment requirements for all CBP acquisition programs.
• Develop and implement life-cycle sustainment requirements for new technology programs.
• Provide management and oversight of systems in the support phase of the system lifecycle; and develop tools and business processes focused on enhancing system performance and reducing system lifecycle costs.
  • This includes managing collaboration with the DHS customer and its internal/external stakeholders to facilitate L&S activity coordination throughout the enterprise.
  • Develop lifecycle logistics policy.
  • Provide logistics and sustainment planning and implementation support to include
    • Cost-wise readiness implementation and execution support.
    • Independent logistics assessment support.
    • Lifecycle logistics management workforce development support.
    • Logistics and sustainment support for planned and deployed systems.
    • Asset management and training support; and warehouse support and management.Requirements:
      • 10 years of experience with background in acquisition logistics planning and sustainment.
      • 8 years of experience with analytical tools and business applications to enhance logistical planning, system performance, and reduce system life-cycle costs.Eligibility Requirements:
        • Ability to obtain and retain DHS Suitability and/or CBP Background Investigation.
        • This role is restricted to U.S. person(s) (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)).Desired Skills:
          • Active DHS Suitability, CBP Background Investigation, and/or Top Secret Clearance.
          • Experience directly supporting DHS programs, ideally in maritime, aviation, and border security mission spaces.Location:
            • Hybrid/ 2-3 days per week.
