We are committed to improving the lives of those struggling with mental illness through evidence-based treatment and compassionate care.As a Joint Commission and CARF accredited organization, we take pride in promoting awareness and understanding to break down barriers for mental health issues in our community!Position Summary:The Intake Assessor plays a crucial role in the organization by conducting initial assessments and evaluations of individuals seeking services. The primary responsibility of this position is to gather comprehensive information from clients, assess their needs, and determine appropriate next steps within the organization's service delivery framework.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Initiates and completes diagnostic assessments, intake evaluations, screeners and treatment plans.
  • Provides the professional expertise necessary to make determinations regarding patient program eligibility.
  • Participates in child and adult case coordination meetings.
  • Identifies and redirects high-risk or high acuity participant encounters with compliance and agency-based protocols.
  • Participates in regularly scheduled meetings with supervisors, departmental case conferencing meetings and team meetings.
  • Collaborates with Quality & Insurance department.
  • Completes paneling to all insurances needed for Hillcrest consumers.Requirements:
    • Master's degree in social work, Psychology or related discipline is required.
    • Must have one of the following District of Columbia certifications: LICSW, LPC, LGPC or LGSW.
    • Minimum 1-3 years of experience at graduate level or full licensure.
    • Must have liability insurance.
    • Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance.
    • 401K Retirement and Life Insurance.
    • 2 weeks accrued PTO.
    • 2 weeks accrued Sick Leave.
    • 8 paid company holidays.
