critical infrastructure, we perform on both new construction and

capabilities including 2D design and 3D modeling, construction
management, and computerized maintenance management (CMMS). We have
cybersecure proprietary commissioning technology, Quicx that holds
an Authority to Operate (ATO).The Work:As a Systems Engineer /
Architect, you will perform cloud and on-prem computing design,
configuration, STIG implementation, troubleshooting and testing.
You will utilize your extensive experience in cloud architecture,
cloud services, and your ability to lead technical projects to
deliver robust computing solutions. In this role you will be
involved in developing and executing the strategy for cloud
adoption (as well as on-prem servers) and ensuring the scalability,
reliability, and security of our environments. You will become part
of a multi-disciplinary team that advises, implements, and manages
cybersecurity for control system solutions such as SCADA, HVAC,
Fire Alarm/Life Safety Systems, and Electronic Security Systems.
You will work alongside federal clients to help develop and
implement risk management and Zero Trust programs for their
critical infrastructure.This position is REMOTE, but you must be
able to travel to client sites up to 50% of the time. Due to the
location of the majority of our clients, candidates in the Eastern
Time Zone of the United States are preferred, especially candidates
in the Mid-Atlantic Region.Key Responsibilities:
- Manage system requirements and derived requirements to ensure
the delivery of production systems that are compatible with the
defined system architecture(s) - Department of Defense Architecture
Framework (DoDAF).
- Participate in an Integrated Product Team to design new
capabilities based upon evaluation of all necessary development and
operational considerations.
- Remain current in operating systems / software analysis and
technological developments and applications.
- System Architecture Design: Lead the design and implementation
of scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud and on-prem
architectures. Design server and application architectures; perform
administrative operation and maintenance functions of server
hardware and software.
- System Strategy Development: Develop and implement a cloud
strategy that aligns with business objectives and ensures a smooth
transition to the cloud.
- Security & Compliance: Implement best practices for both cloud
and on-prem security, including identity and access management,
data protection, and compliance with industry regulations.
- Collaboration: Work closely with software development,
operations, and security teams to ensure cloud solutions are
integrated effectively.
- Cost Management: Optimize spending through effective management
of computer resources and services.
- Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and
mentoring to junior staff, promoting a culture of continuous
improvement.
- Perform other duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in engineering or equivalent combination of
training and experience.
- IAT Level II Certification Required (CCNA-Security, GICSP,
GSEC, Security+ CE, or SSCP certification).
- Certifications in MS Windows Server, Active Directory,
Enterprise OS.
- Expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google
Cloud.
- Strong knowledge of networking, security, and cloud
architecture principles.
- Must have experience designing and implementing complex server
environments.
- Requires experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools
like BICEP, Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
- Must have experience with containerization and orchestration
tools like ACS, Docker and Kubernetes.Citizenship/Clearance
Requirements:
- Applicants for employment must be U.S. Citizens and must be
able to obtain and maintain up to a Top Secret clearance due to our
customer requirements and the nature of the work that we
do.Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications in Linux Operating Systems.
- IAT Level III Certification (CISSP).Physical Considerations:
- Must be able to walk construction sites with uneven surfaces,
carry up to 25 lbs., climb stairs and ladders, and work both
indoors and outdoors in severe weather conditions, and in dust
generating environments.
- Must be able to crawl to get to wherever a problem is so that
you can see it for yourself.
- Applicants must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment
