ITC is headquartered in Fairfax, VA and offers outstanding compensation and benefits in a challenging and rewarding professional work environment.ResponsibilitiesJOB OVERVIEW: ITC Federal is seeking a highly skilled Data Architect responsible for maintaining databases by determining structural requirements; developing and installing solutions.RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintaining moderately complex databases - database architecture and metadata repositories, access methods, access time, device allocation, validation checks, organization, protection and security, documentation and statistical methods.
• Maintaining database dictionaries, monitoring standards and procedures and integration of systems through database design.
• Maintaining databases, performing data access analysis design, and archive/recovery design and implementation.
• Translating business needs into long-term architecture solutions.
• Developing data warehousing blueprints, evaluating hardware and software platforms, and integrating systems.
• Reviewing and developing object and data models and the metadata repository to structure the data for better management and quicker access.QualificationsREQUIRED:
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in business information systems and data architecture.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Demonstrated experience with developing logical and physical data models; taxonomy terms, definitions, and controlled vocabularies; XML and data exchange standards, e.g. NIEM.
• Solid communication skills demonstrated by successful performance within a team environment.DESIRED:
• Demonstrated knowledge in the areas of flood plain management, flood insurance, and mapping and/or ASFPM Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM) certification.WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
