Job Description:

Serves as a subject matter expert (SME) and collaborates with software development teams, systems and software architects to deliver sound, timely technical solutions to issues in implementing rule-based systems

•Design, develop and implement rule-based software systems

•Leads and/or participates in business process, business rules modeling and specification efforts

•Works with product owners and business users to elicit and document business, functional requirements for rule-based system

Requirements

Demonstrate proficiency in most of the following areas, with recent (within the last 7 years) experience:

•10-15 years of overall software development experience in a client/server, distributed and/or web-based environment utilizing enterprise Java EE, Sprint Framework, ORM and Web technologies

•Extensive knowledge of and experience with open-source rule engines including DROOLS (highly preferred) or ILog/JRules, etc•In-depth knowledge of business process modeling languages (BPMN v2), tools and technology such as Activiti (highly preferred) or JBoss BMP

•3-5 years of experience developing rule-based enterprise applications using Business Rules Engines.

•2-5 years of experience business process modeling and implementation

•5-7 years of experience in database development using Oracle, MySQL or SQL Server database technologies.

•Hands-on experience developing message-oriented integration solutions utilizing Java messaging technology

•Solid understanding of SOA/EAI, XML technologies, RESTful web services concepts and design patterns

•2-3 years of software development experience utilizing Agile Scrum methodology, Continuous Integration, automated testing, test-driven development

•2-3 years of hand-on experience using version control system (Git preferably) and build automation systems

•Demonstrated knowledge and hands-on experience with Linux/UNIX operating systems•Experience working in a fast-paced, client-facing environment with changing requirements

Education

•BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Management Systems or a related discipline•U.S. Citizen and ability to obtain Public Trust clearance
