Job Description:

Responsibilities

• As a member of DevOps team, work with agile development teams, infrastructure groups, and product owners to carry out system-wide performance analysis, optimization and scalability efforts

• Collaborate with load testing team to monitor systems and network performance, identify and troubleshoot performance issues

• Work closely with development teams to identify performance bottlenecks and constraints; propose design improvement to meet performance and availability requirements

• Evaluate alternative design approaches with respect to alignment with the end user experience

• Monitor and troubleshoot application performance to improve and enhance quality of end-user?s experience

• Monitor system usage trends and prepare capacity plans

• Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to troubleshoot end-to-end business processes in deployment and operations environment

Requirements

• 3-4 years of hands-on experience monitoring, analyzing and tuning web-based, Internet-facing multi-tier applications

• 3+ years of experience with enterprise-level application performance monitoring (APM) tools and technologies such as App Dynamics, Hyperic, Riverbed/OPNET tools

• Knowledge of TCP/IP, HTTP networking protocols

• Familiarity with high availability techniques and technologies (e.g., clustering , load balancing ?)

• Experience working in fast-paced, client-facing operational environments, running business/mission critical systems is required.

• Ability to successfully perform multiple concurrent tasks and changing priorities on a tight schedule

• Experience with application and network virtualization technologies is highly desirable

• Experience with VMWare monitoring, cloud computing is highly desirable

Education

• Must have a B.S. in Computer Science or related area of study or equivalent experience, and be eligible to work in the United States

Clearance

• United States Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a PUBLIC TRUST clearance
