Job Description:
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED and one year of secretarial and/or
telephone customer service experience; or an equivalent combination
of training and experience. Ability to apply good knowledge of
business English, spelling, punctuation, grammar and math;
knowledge of office procedures, methods and practices. Proficiency
in handling multiple incoming phone lines. Proficiency using
automated office systems and software, especially MS Office
products. Skill in developing and maintaining effective working
relationships with internal and external customers. Pre-employment
drug testing, FBI criminal background check and education/degree
verification required.
Duties
Responsibilities include serving as the primary telephone point of
contact for incoming calls to the department to include answering,
screening and directing incoming calls to proper staff. This
includes retrieving voice mail messages and logging them into an
Excel spreadsheet. Produce Letters of Inquiry/Ten-day notices for
Written Determinations in Word and file them in the Accela system.
Locate, research, and send rezoning cases, variances, subdivision
plans, and site plans to external and internal customers as
requested. Retrieve paper copies of subdivision plats and site
plans, log them into an Excel spreadsheet, and deliver them to the
Plans Review Team. Perform other work as required.
