Development at George Washington University Hospital (Washington,
DC). Since the current George Washington University Hospital
building opened in 2002, physicians and nurses have been treating
patients in a technologically advanced hospital. With millions of

available through the Medical Faculty Associates, a multi-specialty
physician practice group of more than 750 physicians covering 51
specialty and subspecialty areas. The Medical Faculty Associates'
doctors have offices in the Ambulatory Care Center, an outpatient
clinic building located one block from the hospital.In addition,
the market will soon also include Cedar Hill Regional Medical
Center (Washington, DC). The new $434.4 million hospital complex,
on track for completion in 2025, will bring a state-of-the-art
136-bed, full-service hospital to one of the city's most medically
underserved communities. With features including an ambulatory
pavilion for physician offices, clinics, and community space; a
500-car garage; and a helipad for emergency transports, the 407,000
square foot medical center will be the city's first new inpatient
facility in more than 20 years.Reporting to the CEO, this position
develops & implements strategic plans to improve market share and
financial growth throughout the Delaware/Maryland, Virginia and DC
region. Primary responsibilities consist of:
- Site planning and development of an integrated health systems
(IDS).
- Developing and executing, in conjunction with local executives
and corporate stakeholders, annual long-range plans that drive both
acute and ambulatory expansion.
- Promotes expansion of provider network, both employed and
aligned, to ensure network sufficiency.
- Provides leadership to assigned departments including business
development, strategy, decision support, & physician relations.This

- Must have experience launching new lines of business. For
example: urgent care centers, FED's, Ambulatory Centers
(Imaging/Surgery), PCP clinics etc.
- MBA or MHA strongly preferred
- Experience leading projects from certificate of need to day of
operations, with successful transfer to operational leaders
- 10 years of professional experience that demonstrates a
progressive leadership background
- 10 years experience in marketing, business development, sales
in a healthcare or related environment
- Previous experience working with traditional and
non-traditional media outletsSkills
- Demonstrated excellent written and oral communications
skills.
- Effective interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to adapt to multiple and changing priorities
- Demonstrated ability to define marketing strategy and develop
comprehensive plans to strategically and financially position a
hospital in the marketplace
- Knowledge of brand management
