Summary:The Mechanical Engineer performs technical activities on
assigned projects and adheres to discipline technical policies and
procedures. Participates in the production of technical studies,
investigations, and designs in support of assigned projects. Seeks
guidance from Senior Engineers to develop engineering solutions and
makes independent decisions for low to moderate complexity
projects. Provides technical production direction to Designers and
CAD Operators to ensure projects are delivered on time, within
budget, and of the highest technical quality.Responsibilities:
- Ensures adherence to company technical policies and procedures
during project execution.
- Assists in developing design approaches and concepts for
assigned projects.
- Provides discipline-specific engineering for systems and
designs of low to moderate complexity.
- Delegates work tasks to subordinate staff and monitors
accuracy.
- Helps execute technical training programs for design
staff.
- Assists in proposal and presentation development for
clients.
- Provides feedback to Project Managers for performance
evaluations.
- Coordinates project designs with other disciplines and attends
project meetings.
- Conducts engineering studies and design analyses, assisting in
budget, cost estimates, and project schedules.
- Reviews shop drawings, records changes, and communicates with
suppliers and contractors.
- Performs on-site inspections during construction and
coordinates design requirements.
- Utilizes design software to prepare engineering and design
documents.
- Participates in professional organizations to enhance the
firm's technical reputation.
- Completes assigned work within the designated time frame and
budget.Key Requirements/Qualifications:Professionally Licensed
Engineer with a Bachelor's (B.S.) in Mechanical Engineering.A
minimum of 5 to 7 years of related experience and/or training; or
