Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst/Test Engineer

Specific Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and execute test plans for web-based data collection systems.
Develop and maintain QA protocols for complex survey systems and data collection tools.
Perform rigorous testing to ensure adherence to NCES Statistical, Style, and Web Standards.
Create and update electronic code books and other technical documentation.
Conduct data analysis using statistical software packages (SAS, SPSS) to validate data
Collaborate with development teams to identify and resolve issues in data collection systems.
Verify data sharing processes between various OPE data collections.
Document test results, issues, and resolutions in a clear and comprehensive manner.
Ensure quality standards are maintained across all deliverables.
Develop and implement automated testing procedures where applicable.

Requirements:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or related field

Experience: 4+ years of experience in quality assurance for data systems or web applications

Skills:

Proficiency in statistical software packages including SAS and SPSS
Knowledge of complex survey design principles
Experience with web-based data collection systems development and testing
In-depth understanding of NCES Statistical, Style, and Web Standards
Knowledge of OPE postsecondary data products and how they share data
Experience creating technical documentation and electronic code books
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Excellent attention to detail and quality focus
Knowledge of federal contract management
Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams
