Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) is the official
national Democratic campaign committee charged with electing
Democrats to the U. S. House of Representatives. The DCCC recruits
Democratic candidates and supports Democratic campaigns - both
challengers and Democratic incumbent Members - with a variety of
services including field operations, fundraising support,
communications assistance, digital strategy, research support and
management consulting. The DCCC is supported by the contributions
of individuals and organizations, along with Democratic Members,

the House majority.Due to the cyclic nature of our organization,
all positions are subject to separation at the end of the election
cycle.Position Summary: The Fundraising Data Engineer is
responsible for working with fundraising teams at the DCCC to
ingest and structure data from various vendors and public sources
into high-quality datasets to facilitate fundraising analysis and
campaign finance compliance. They will work closely with the
Fundraising Product Manager to support fundraising products,
reporting, and workflow automations. Towards the end of the cycle,
this role may also collaborate with our Voter Protection team for
voter protection engineering needs. The ideal candidate will have
experience with both political data and data engineering, but
specific experience with political fundraising data is not
necessary.Responsibilities:
- Centralize fundraising data at the DCCC, building and
maintaining ELT workflows to deliver data from various fundraising
tools and vendors into our Google BigQuery data warehouse;
- Collaborate with key stakeholders such as the fundraising,
accounting and compliance teams to design data products in
alignment with regulatory and operational needs;
- Develop, launch, and iterate products and reports in support of
fundraising efforts alongside the Fundraising Product Manager;
- Structure and document key datasets for DCCC analytics and
reporting needs;
- Collaborate with fundraising teams to identify and automate key
workflows;
- Perform other duties as necessary to ensure the success of
fundraising teams.Requirements:
- 1-3 years of data engineering or analytics experience in
politics or technology;
- Strong SQL and analytics database experience - preference for
BigQuery;
- Experience with dbt or other workflow orchestration tools;
- Experience with Tableau or other business intelligence and data
visualization tools;
- Python experience with a focus on API integration tasks and ELT
methods;
- Familiarity with database architecture and modern data
workflows, particularly as they relate to campaign data;
- Familiarity with campaign fundraising platforms such as NGP and
ActBlue; and outreach tools such as Switchboard, Tatango, and
ActionKit;
