The Office Administrator is responsible to provide direction and
supervision to staff in the local office. This position works in
collaboration with senior leadership to supervise local functional
staff and to ensure that local office processes and procedures are
operated in an efficient and profitable manner that is consistent
with firm strategies and goals. A hybrid work schedule is available

you.Reporting Relationships:This position reports to the assigned
Regional Administrator or Chief Administrative Officer as well as
the Office Managing Partner.This position directly supervises
Hospitality, Reception (where applicable), Legal Resource
Assistants, Office Services, Facilities, Records Management and
Filing.Location: Washington, DCKey Responsibilities:
- Leadership - Mentor, coach and develop office management team;
implement management processes and support development of firm's
culture; develop and maintain collaborative relationships with
peers in firm-wide functional areas and in other offices; ensure
high level of job satisfaction and morale within the office;
initiate and manage social and community programs per firm values
and strategies. Proactively communicate with local office personnel
concerning firm programming.
- Supervision - Initiate and oversee the hiring, development and
supervision of office personnel; set annual office goals and
objectives and monitor performance against these goals; effectively
utilize the performance evaluation system to ensure that personnel
are achieving office and firm goals as well as developing
professionally. Oversee Hospitality, Reception (where applicable),
Legal Resource Assistants, Office Services, Facilities, Records
Management and Filing.
- Teamwork - Work cooperatively and collaboratively with Office
Managing Partner, RA, other OAs, functional area leaders, Business
Managers and other members of firm administration to meet team
goals, and to develop and implement firm and office wide
initiatives and programs.
- Responsible for the effective communication of programs to
office personnel.
- Collaborate with attorneys, Director of Secretarial Support
Services and Department Secretarial Services Managers to ensure
staffing levels are appropriate and that support processes are as
efficient and cost effective as possible.
- Work collaboratively with Finance, Human Resources, Marketing,
Information Technology, Information Services, Practice Group
Support and senior leadership to ensure firm programs and
procedures are effectively and efficiently implemented within the
office.
- Initiate regular meetings among local management team to foster
cross functional communication and ensure awareness of projects and
initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned.To perform this job

requirements listed below are representative of the skills and
abilities required.Job Requirements:
- 5-7 years of relevant management experience in a large
multi-office environment required. Prior management experience,
preferably within a law firm or professional services environment
preferred.
- Bachelor's Degree required; MBA preferred. Work experience in
lieu of a degree will be considered.
- Demonstrated leadership ability
- Demonstrated initiative and proactive approach to
management
- Innovation management and change implementation
- Proven interpersonal, supervisory and team building skill
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Manage risk and uncertainty
- Planning and organizational skills, including proven ability to
manage multiple, diverse projects concurrentlyIn accordance with
applicable Federal and State laws, the anticipated annual salary
range for this position, depending on location, is as follows:
- Washington, DC: $121,749 to $180,749In addition to a standard
benefits package, this role may be eligible for additional
contingent compensation based on an array of factors, including but
not limited to: work performance, geographic location, work
experience, education, and qualifications. Because such contingent
compensation is not yet calculable or may be zero ($0) in some
circumstances, the above-listed salary range(s) are Nixon Peabody's
good faith estimate of the annual salary(ies) it reasonably expects
