The Prudential Regulatory Senior Policy Analyst will be a part of Citi's Global Regulatory Strategy & Policy team and report to the Head of Prudential Regulatory Strategy & Policy. This role will support Citi's prudential regulatory advocacy efforts by assisting with the analysis and development of strategic approaches in connection with proposed and adopted standards, regulations, and guidance from the Federal Reserve, the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, and other relevant international standard setting organizations.The Regulatory Strategy & Policy team is responsible for developing and conveying Citi's policy positions in connection with regulations, guidance, and standards set by global financial institution regulators and standard setting bodies. The team leads and coordinates Citi's policy advocacy efforts across regulatory bodies, international standard setters, and trade organizations, strategically connecting and integrating Citi's overall regulatory strategy and engagement as well as advising senior management on consequential financial regulatory matters.The team routinely engages with Citi's senior management and subject matter experts from across its businesses, functions, and geographies - including Risk, Finance, Legal, Independent Compliance Risk Management, Government Affairs and Citi's business units - to formulate and advocate for Citi's priorities with respect to current and forthcoming regulatory policy initiatives.Primary Location:Washington, D.C.Responsibilities:

• Support Citi's Regulatory Strategy & Policy team in connection with strategy and advocacy efforts around the development of U.S. bank prudential standards, regulations, and guidance.
• Monitor, analyze, and report on U.S. and international prudential developments that could impact Citi and its businesses, as well as financial institutions more broadly.
• Drive engagement with internal stakeholders - including business specialists, Legal, and Government Affairs - to (1) build awareness of prudential regulatory issues that could impact Citi businesses and (2) develop, coordinate, and convey Citi policy positions, including in connection with industry comment letters and consultations.
• Lead the development regulatory strategy and advocacy briefing materials for senior management team members, including the drafting of policy issue summaries and talking points.
• Manage the preparation of reports, internal communications, and presentations on regulatory advocacy issues and developments, including monthly newsletters and summaries of new proposals and final standards.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including through convening and participating in standing and ad hoc meetings to discuss policy developments and advocacy strategy.
• Lead the development of internal risk and control reviews and documentation efforts.Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of experience with 5+ years focused on analyzing or developing bank and bank holding company regulation. The preferred candidate will have worked at a U.S. GSIB, federal banking agency, law firm, consulting company, or trade association on issues related to bank regulatory policy.
  • Specific subject matter expertise regarding the prudential regulatory framework and a strong business understanding of the products and services Citi offers.
  • An understanding of the current regulatory policy agendas of the Federal Reserve Board, the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, as well as relevant international standard setters such as the Basel Committee and the Financial Stability Board. The preferred candidate will also have an understanding of the regulation and policy development process at those organizations.
  • An understanding of the banking and financial services industry, particularly global systemically important banks.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to understand and articulate complex issues in an understandable, but comprehensive manner and to discuss such issues with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to think critically and with strategic judgement.
  • Self-starter that demonstrates initiative, creativity, adaptability, and resourcefulness to manage time-sensitive projects and competing priorities.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively with others to meet deadlines and produce superior work products with exemplary attention to detail.Education:
