Tetrad Digital Integrity (TDI) is a leading-edge cybersecurity
firm with a mission to safeguard and protect our customers from
increasing threats and vulnerabilities in this digital age. We are
looking for a Cybersecurity Data Analyst to join our team in
Washington, DC to support a large, Civilian government agency. The
position will require three (3) days in the office and two (2) days
remote, therefore, you must be in commutable range to the
Washington, DC metro area.The Cybersecurity Data Analyst will play
a key role in transforming raw data into actionable and useful
information for various stakeholders. Also responsible for
identifying, normalizing, enriching, and institutionalizing data
from many sources, building and maintaining a data dictionary
describing that data. Additionally, serve as the subject matter
expert on all data sources available to the Information Security
Division (InfoSec) providing appropriate visibility into this
data.RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Quickly and thoroughly gain an understanding of new and
incoming datasets, develop a set of roadmaps for those datasets,
and develop a plan of action to maximize the use of the data.
- Develop and implement plans to extract fields, perform
enrichment on that dataset, develop data summarization, and provide
a phased approach to make information available and accessible to
various stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain a data dictionary to keep track of the
data available to InfoSec. This data dictionary will include the
originating dataset, documenting the way that the data is
ingested.
- Develop and maintain field mappings to provide guidance to
stakeholders on availability of data.
- Develop, enact and optimize retention across various datasets
to create a structured and accessible knowledge base for
stakeholders.
- Role emphasizes visual storytelling and dashboard development
to provide key insights to both technical and executive
audiences.
- Design and implement security-focused visualizations in Splunk,
Dynatrace, Power BI, and other platforms, ensuring that SOC
analysts, threat hunters, and Cyber leadership can easily interpret
complex datasets.
- Work with stakeholders outside of Cyber to present our
information in the most effective way to assist them in
understanding our data to help drive security awareness and
compliance.QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in operations research, engineering,
analytics, data science, economics, applied mathematics,
statistics, or a related field preferred.
- Three (3) to five (5) years of experience with data-oriented
tasks for cybersecurity operations.
- Ability to leverage a wide variety of data science capabilities
and languages, analyze and resolve critical data issues using
various methodologies, and ensure data integrity.
- Experience with developing and engineering data workflows to
merge disparate data sources and draw data-driven insights.
- Experience with working in Windows and Linux OS
environments.
- Experience with Splunk, Dynatrace, Power BI.
- Experience with Python scripting.
- Ability to take poorly defined problems and convert them into
questions for which practical quantitative solutions can be
defined; must be detail-oriented and organized.
- Ability to exhibit flexibility, initiative, and innovation to
succeed in an ambiguous and fast-paced environment.
- Compose client deliverable quality documentation, analysis, and
reports.
- Experience with developing and engineering cybersecurity
solutions with a focus on applied data science or machine learning
a plus.
- Security + certification preferred.TDI does business with the
