& Practice Innovation Consultant will play a pivotal role in
driving innovation and value within the firm. Collaborating with
the Innovation & Value Department, attorneys, clients, and practice
groups, the Consultant will identify, adopt, and deploy
cutting-edge technology solutions, including legal-specific
generative AI applications. This role emphasizes relationship
building and innovation, requiring a blend of legal technology
expertise, research skills, and the ability to support and promote
multiple practice solutions simultaneously.In this role, the
Consultant will enhance the firm's utilization of practice
technologies by developing practice-specific use cases, curated
resources, and best practices. The consultant will continuously
monitor the emerging legal AI technologies landscape, providing
recommendations for new or enhanced solutions. Additionally, the
Consultant will deepen user knowledge and skills for AI-related
tools through diverse training mechanisms, collaborating closely
with attorneys and practice group leaders to deliver training and
support.The Consultant will join a dynamic, solutions-oriented team
dedicated to delivering value and excellence to the firm and its
clients. Reporting to the Senior Practice Innovation & Client
Solutions Manager, the Consultant will work closely with the Chief
Innovation & Value Officer, Chief Information Officer, and other
members of the Practice Innovation team. This role places a strong
emphasis on relationship-building and client service, regularly
interfacing with attorneys, firm leaders, and occasionally
clients.This role has a hybrid working arrangement. Potential
candidates must live within commuting distance of a Blank Rome
office to be onsite 3 days per week. In this role, you will report
to the Senior Practice Innovation & Client Solutions
Manager.Essential Functions
- Collaborate with attorney practice groups, clients, and
cross-functional teams to identify use cases and assist with the
adoption and deployment of innovative technology solutions,
including legal-specific generative AI applications. This includes
understanding the specific needs of each group and tailoring
solutions to meet those needs effectively.
- Participate in the development and implementation of group and
one-on-one training sessions to educate attorneys and staff on the
use of legal technologies and AI solutions. This involves creating
comprehensive training materials, delivering engaging training
sessions and maintaining the firm's repository of AI training
materials.
- Curate and develop a collection of materials, resources, and
best practices to support the effective use of approved legal
technologies and AI solutions. This includes maintaining an
up-to-date repository of resources that can be easily accessed by
attorneys and staff.
- Monitor the emerging legal AI technologies landscape and
service delivery models to identify potential innovation
opportunities. This involves staying abreast of the latest trends
and advancements in legal technology and assessing their
applicability to the firm.
- Identify attorney training opportunities by analyzing data and
aligning with practice group goals and objectives. This involves
assessing the training needs of different practice groups and
developing targeted training programs.
- Provide support on other projects or duties as assigned. This
includes being flexible and adaptable to take on various tasks as
needed to support the innovation department's goals.
- Work additional hours as needed to fulfill job requirements.The

discretion.Skills/Qualifications
- JD degree or Master's Degree in Library Science preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience as an attorney, paralegal, legal
researcher, or legal innovation professional.
- Experience working with artificial intelligence applications
required.
- Experience with standard legal, contract, data, and research
resources, such as Kira, Intelligize, Lexis, Westlaw AI, Harvey,
CoCounsel, SharePoint, Bloomberg Law, Lex Machina, Excel, Power BI,
iManage, Foundation, and other related subscription services is
preferred.
- Strong command of technology and a keen interest in
innovation.
- Deep understanding and familiarity with legal documents such as
court filings, agreements, and briefs
- Ability to work under time constraints and in a high-pressure
environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with
attention to accuracy and detail.
- Strong organizational skills, adept at multi-tasking and
prioritization.
- Service-oriented, team player, with initiative and
problem-solving abilities.General Expectations
