Analyst supports the United States Coast Guard in various aspects
of security including personnel security, physical security,
anti-terrorism, force protection, industrial security,
informational security, and law enforcement. The Security Analyst
utilizes verbal communication, project management, technical
writing, critical thinking, and customer service skills to support
the program's needs.In this role you will:
- Analyze problem areas or situations and develop appropriate
security controls.
- Conduct analysis of new and existing security related
technologies.
- Review and update existing security policies.
- Provide mission and administrative support related to physical
security as required.
- Inform on methods to improve the efficacy of all security
programs.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.Experience Requirements:
- Excellent written communication skills including ability to
communicate by developing complex technical and security materials,
such as job aids, reports and documentation manuals.
- Proficiency with various types of information technology
applications, such as Microsoft Office, including MS Word, Access,
Excel and PowerPoint. The Contractor must have the knowledge,
skill, and appropriate access to use government databases.
- Ability to think critically and develop, refine, or modify
materials containing complex technical ideas for a variety of
audiences.
- Excellent Customer Service skills.Education Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent and 5 years related
experience.
- Ten years of documented related experience may be substituted
for a bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience.Certification
Requirements:
- NASecurity Clearance Requirements:
- DOD Secret Clearance.
- Ability to obtain DHS Suitability.Physical Requirements:
- Reports to a physical location which occasionally requires the
ability to traverse between buildings.
- May require sedentary work at least 50% of the time.
- Must be able to regularly lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to manage stress with a high degree of
maturity/professionalism.
- Demonstrated critical thinking and leadership skills and the
ability to work well with others.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.The
anticipated compensation range for this position is $80,000 -
$100,000. Multiple considerations are taken into account when
determining the final salary/hour rate, including but not limited
to, Contract Wage Determination, education and certifications,
relevant work experience, related skills and competencies, as well
as Federal Government Contract Labor categories. Central to
