Job Description:
The Metrologist functions independently and is actively engaged
within the Engineering department to support the execution of
calibrations in a dynamic team environment. Metrologists need to be
able to perform and properly document calibrations of a wide
variety of instruments to include but is not limited to
temperature, RPM, weight, PH, DO, flow, pressure, etc. --All
instruments and equipment are for use in a highly regulated GMP

- Create, review and edit calibration SOPs
- Work with external calibration vendors to complete items due as
needed
- Execute equipment/facilities calibration, preventative
maintenance (PM) and responsive work orders through Catalent's
asset management software Blue Mountain Regulatory Asset Management
(BMRAM)
- Work diligently on calibration tasks to ensure that all
instruments are completed by their due date
- Assist in asset management and the procurement and processing
of purchase orders
- Effectively communicates work results through discussions and
documentation with input from the supervisor
- Maintain adherence to GMP SOPs for the execution of calibration
procedures
- Assist other departments including engineering, facilities, and
validation to accomplish company goals and tasks
- Other duties as assignedThe candidate:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2 years of Metrology experience
- Experience working in a GMP environment
- Calibration/Metrology certification preferredThe anticipated
salary range for this position in Maryland is $74,080 to $101,860
plus an annual bonus target. The final salary offered to a
successful candidate may vary, and will be dependent on several
factors that may include but are not limited to: the type and
length of experience within the job, type and length of experience
within the industry, skillset, education, business needs, etc.
