- Reviewing work requests for accuracy and clarity and approves
them as needed
- Escalating Preventative Maintenance issues to Reliability
Engineer for work that does not appear to be valid or well
justified
- Working with Production Supervisors and Superintendents to
ensure that assets are prepared for maintenance work as
scheduled
- Working with Engineering Department to ensure documentation
(including drawings, BOMs, instructions, etc.) are readily
available for tradespeople prior to commencing the work
- Working with Store Room Coordinator to ensure that all parts
required for the jobs have been identified, secured, and properly
kitted well in advance
- Working with external sources (i.e., rental companies) to
ensure special tools, aerial equipment, etc., as well as service
technicians are available as needed
- Providing job estimates and follow-up to ensure they have been
accurately met by the trades
- Working with Maintenance Department to ensure tasks have all
the necessary instructions, tools, and safety precautions for the
job at hand
- Providing feedback to the Maintenance Superintendent prior to
completing the work orders that were signed off by the
mechanics
- Leading planning and scheduling meetings for line shutdowns and
ensuring planning for opportunistic maintenance
- Providing training and support to maintenance personnel on CMMS
as required (Maximo)
- Managing work order backlog based on equipment criticality
- Keeps accurate metrics on performance of planning and
scheduling and provides reports to Supervisor and Reliability
Engineer
- Providing support to Corporate Reliability Team and
collaborating with other IKO Plants as required
- Participating actively in any new projects initiated by the
Company, such as the introduction of predictive maintenance,
etc.
- Following up with mechanics and contractors to ensure work
requirements associated with preventative maintenance, projects,
and day-to-day work orders are completed

- Performing other job-related duties as assignedOUR IDEAL
CANDIDATE:
- Minimum 5 years of planning/scheduling experience working
within a CMMS
- Mechanical background is required
- Post-secondary degree/diploma preferred
- Adequate craft knowledge and skill to accurately estimate labor
hours, material requirements, and skills needed to complete a
job
- Excellent communication (written, verbal, and presentational)
skills
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Good organizational and interpersonal skills
- Ability to provide simple and accurate instructions
- Ability to read standard blueprints, machine, and process
drawings
- Knowledge and understanding of the maintenance processes and
proper use of the work order system, planning and scheduling, and
storeroom processes
- Ability to manage multiple priorities or projects
simultaneously and keep them progressing to completion
- Excellent organization and analytical skills (problem-solving &
troubleshooting)
