Our ProfileIn 2020, G Mining Ventures (GMIN) was created to acquire direct ownership of projects and capitalize on the value uplift that successful mine development offers. In July 2024, GMIN acquired the Oko West project. The Oko West Project is a new gold discovery in northwest Guyana. It is located south of the historical "Oko" gold district, some 95 km west of Georgetown.To ensure the achievement of this large-scale project, G Mining Ventures is looking for an experienced and motivated individual to fill the position of:Light Duty SupervisorThe Light Duty Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of a team of employees performing light-duty tasks within GMining Ventures Oko West Mining Site. This includes ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with company policies and industry regulations. The supervisor will monitor performance, provide guidance and support to team members, and ensure high standards of quality and safety are maintained.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervision & Leadership:

• Lead, manage, and motivate a team of light-duty employees.
• Provide training, guidance, and mentorship to ensure employees understand job expectations and safety protocols.
• Monitor employee performance and provide constructive feedback.
• Assign tasks and ensure appropriate staffing levels for the team.Task Management:
• Oversee daily tasks and workflows to ensure operations run smoothly and deadlines are met.
• Review and approve the completion of light-duty tasks, ensuring quality standards are maintained.
• Address any issues or obstacles that may arise during daily operations.Safety & Compliance:
• Ensure all team members adhere to workplace safety policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and identify areas for improvement.
• Maintain knowledge of industry regulations and ensure that the team complies with all relevant laws and standards.Quality Control:
• Monitor the quality of work produced by team members to ensure high standards are maintained.
• Perform quality checks to ensure compliance with project specifications and company standards.
• Address any quality issues and implement corrective actions.Reporting & Documentation:
• Keep detailed records of team activities, performance, and safety inspections.
• Report any incidents, accidents, or issues to management and assist in investigations.
• Maintain accurate documentation of completed tasks, employee hours, and equipment use.Problem-Solving:
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to team operations or job performance.
• Ensure smooth communication between teams and management regarding operational needs.Qualifications/Skills and Experience

• Minimum Technical Diploma.
• At least 5-10 years' experience in Supervisor role.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
• Attention to detail and high accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.Working Conditions
