power plant systems design, including preparation or review
of:
- Modification packages for operating nuclear power plants
- Functional mechanical drawings and/or drawings for nuclear
power plant systems
- Engineering analyses and evaluations to support modifications
and operation of plant systems
- Technical specifications and procurement documents for plant
equipment
- Vendor bid evaluations for plant equipment
- Studies and options evaluations for modifications to operating
nuclear power plantsIn addition, you will have the opportunity

- Develop engineering cost estimates for small to mid-sized
client-requested work scopes
- Visit client office and/or plant site locations to interface
with the client and make presentations related to projectsThis is a
Project Lead Structural Engineer position that offers a variety of
interesting and challenging opportunities in structural engineering

In this position, you will guide a team of structural engineers,
interface with clients and engineers from other disciplines, as
well as manage a variety of exciting projects. This position will
enable you to:
- Apply your knowledge of materials, structural analysis,
structural steel design, and reinforced concrete design in the
successful execution of assigned tasks
- Work on a wide range of projects for various clients and
interface with them as required
- Direct the preparation and review of design calculations,
specifications, reports, and other deliverablesAs an Associate
Intern, you will be assigned to work on a project team and assist
the project controls and project management team members in the
execution of their project work. This includes, but is not limited
to the following:
- Project scheduling, cost tracking, progress monitoring, and
project/portfolio reporting for power-related engineering
projects
- Utilize and expand your academic background in project controls
and project management tools and methodologies
- Eager to learn new skills and develop knowledge to add value to
project team operations
- Willing to engage with others to understand project team

DivisionSargent & Lundy Consulting (SLC) works on behalf of clients
to support electric power projects. We evaluate and optimize
technical, commercial, environmental, and financial aspects of the
projects for a variety of clients. In this role, you will work on
multi-disciplinary project teams involved in the development
support, conceptual design, and owner's engineer services,
including performing technical evaluations of electric power
generation, data center, and industrial projects. There is the
potential for you to travel to client and vendor offices for design
reviews and to plant site locations for construction coordination
and field verification of designs.
