creativity and innovation. The Seattle, WA office is seeking a
Staff Civil/Structural Engineer to join our growing practice. We
are looking for a motivated candidate with attention to detail, a
passion to continue to develop as a professional, and a desire to
be part of a strong team.Job Responsibilities:
- Apply professional principles, complex numerical models, and
innovative solutions to real-world problems as part of a team of
engineers and scientists while under the supervision of senior
engineering personnel.
- Assist in the preparation of CAD drawings for contract
documents and reports with input and guidance from senior engineers
in accordance with internal drafting procedures and
guidelines.
- Develop engineering recommendations and write technical
reports.
- Perform design calculations for hydraulic structures including
spillways, dam outlet works, diversion and check structures,
measurement flumes, and other various raw water
infrastructure.
- Assist in construction site observation and field engineering
services. Ability to travel and work in the field is required.
- Perform analysis and design of steel and concrete
structures.
- Prepare design drawings, reports, and technical
specifications.Required Skills/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree focused in civil engineering, from an
ABET-accredited institution.
- 0-2 years of design-oriented consulting engineering
experience.
- Passing result on F.E. Exam.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil3D.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work
independently or as part of a team.
- Analysis and design of steel and concrete structures.
- Preparation of calculations, drawings, reports, etc.
- Perform/adopt computer-aided structural analysis.
- Become proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, and
Bluebeam.
- Acquire the understanding of ASCE, AISC, and ACI codes.
- Learn to negotiate construction sites and practice site
safety.Other Requirements:
- Ability to pass a background check which may include criminal
history, motor vehicle record, and credit check.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment screening.The compensation
range for an Entry-Level Civil Engineer is between $57,200 to
$86,000. Compensation for this position may vary based on
geographic location and other factors. We remain committed to
