We're seeking a Safety & Injury Advisor to play a key role in ensuring best practices in workplace health and safety, injury prevention, and injury management.About the role

• Support MFG's business objectives and WHS strategic plan
• Provide high-quality injury management services to employees, including developing and monitoring suitable return to work plans.
• Manage workers' compensation, including compliance with legislative requirements
• Offer guidance, advice and coaching to team members and leaders, including ongoing support to address incidents, near misses and hazards reported across our stores, DC and Support Office
• Take an active role in gathering and analysing statistical data to support and advance safety and wellbeing goals
• Actively engage and build relationships with the WHS Manager, Brokers, Insurers and other relevant parties
• Assist the WHS Manager in the development, implementation and maintenance of WHS policies, procedures and the wellbeing calendar
• Assist the HR team in handling non-work-related injuriesAbout you
  • Experience implementing and overseeing WHS within a fast-paced Retail or Hospitality environment
  • An excellent understanding of Australian workers' compensation and safe work legislation, across all states
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills that enable engaging internal and external stakeholder communication
  • Knowledgeable in interpreting medical and legal reports
  • High levels of experience with Excell
