our D&I efforts.The Development Associate is an early-career
real estate professional involved in various stages of commercial
office, mixed-use, and multifamily development projects. This role
encompasses all aspects of project development, from land
acquisition to design, construction, leasing, and divestment.
Responsibilities include coordinating multi-discipline projects,
conducting market research, and collaborating with internal and
external parties throughout project execution. The associate
assists in financial analysis, contract management, budgeting,
design and construction oversight, marketing, and leasing efforts.
Key characteristics include creativity, adaptability, strong
financial and project management skills, excellent interpersonal
and communication abilities, and a willingness to learn and manage
various aspects of a project. The position requires 3+ years of
relevant experience, proficiency in financial tools, and knowledge
of various aspects of real estate development.Development Associate
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience reading and comprehending proposals,
architectural concepts and drawings, contracts, consultant
proposals/agreements and government regulations.
- 3+ years of experience in parts of the commercial investment
and development process, such as: Land acquisition and sourcing,
feasibility studies, entitlements and zoning, project valuation and
finance; Architectural design and construction management and
contractor and consultant contracting; Financial analysis and
budgeting, cost control processes, real estate funding, and project
reporting; Leasing, marketing, and transactions; Property
management and asset management.
- 3+ Years of experience with Microsoft Excel and/or financial
modeling software.
- Bachelor's Degree - construction, engineering, architecture,
real estate, finance, or other relevant specialization or 8 years
equivalent experience plus minimum 3 years prior relevant
