Compassion International is not responsible for third parties who omit this information when copying and re-posting job openings.OverviewWe are looking for a business support specialist to join a fast-paced team! This specialist will provide a professional level of operational and logistical support to Influencer Partnership Managers facilitating Compassion partnerships. This specialist will generally work independently in areas such as event logistics, process management, project management, business operations, contract generation, and information management.The ideal candidate will be able to employ creative and efficient problem-solving skills, as well as be highly relational, responsible, adaptable, a team player, good communicator, and an inquisitive listener. A successful candidate will also have meticulous attention to detail and be able to work well under pressure. Good customer care skills are essential as well as being efficient at moving things along for time-sensitive deadlines.This is a remote position, so this specialist will be expected to be a resourceful self-starter, with high integrity and drive. This position may require after-hours availability, as needed.What will you do?

  • Maintain a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Be a consistent witness for Jesus Christ, maintaining a courteous, Christ-like attitude in dealing with people within and outside of Compassion, and faithfully uphold Compassion's ministry in prayer.
  • Act as an advocate to raise the awareness of the needs of children. Understand Christ's mandate to protect children. Commit to and prioritize child protection considerations in all decision-making, tasks and activities across the ministry. Abide by all behavioral expectations in Compassion's Statement of Commitment to Child Protection and Code of Conduct. Report any concerns of abuse, neglect or exploitation of children through Compassion's internal reporting process and appropriately support responses to incidents if they occur.
  • Uphold and engage in Compassion's core Cultural Behaviors.
  • Provides pipeline management, and detailed event and revenue support for fundraisers using enterprise-wide tools such as Salesforce, Tableau and the Microsoft Office product suite.
  • Creates processes or recommends improvements to aid business operations. Reviews business processes and contributes solutions required to address issues, including process steps and impact assessment to increase productivity and efficiency.
  • Coordinates the compilation of contracts for routing, approval and signatures. Ensures that payments are calculated correctly according to signed contracts and processed in a timely manner.
  • Provides meaningful input into the development of effective metrics for ministry operations and creates reports and dashboards to help surface and maintain data/metrics.
  • Contributes to the department budget by entering and tracking expenditures and informing management of variances and providing corrective recommendations.
  • Gathers basic business data such as project costs or metrics, analyzes the information, and presents reports based on this analysis. Serves as a project manager for small to medium-sized projects to maintain progress toward established goals and deadlines.
  • May perform or support department specific duties sometimes related to other job subfamilies such as marketing, data analysis, business intelligence, expense report assistance and basic accounting, purchasing, trip support, tours and events, simple facilities requests, and/or program development.
  • Partners with other groups when required to integrate information and processes across functions. Provides individual contributions and occasional support to various projects as assigned in support of the work of Business Support management.
  • Prepares and relays communications concerning business operations and outcomes to appropriate audiences to foster understanding and acceptance for initiatives, policies, and practices. Further, supports change integration across projects within the scope of own work. Works to identify change adoption across common audiences as needed.
  • Trains and advises stakeholders on processes and guidelines related to the group or program projects. May liaise between assigned department and others.
  • The incumbent may provide expertise to other professionals and support staff in their work group and may communicate with internal and external business partners.What do you bring?
    • Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent education, experience, training and/or certification.
    • Three years professional experience working in sales support, business analysis, business intelligence, data analysis, project management, or a similar field.
    • Process-minded and strong technical proficiency using systems such as Salesforce (or comparable CRM tool), MS Outlook, and MS Excel.
    • Proven administrative and organizational skills.
    • Proven track record of building relationships with key partners and stakeholders.
