$12,500 Sign On Bonus -The George Washington University Hospital

-POSITION SUMMARY - ELIGIBLE FOR SIGN ON BONUS $12,500 -Under the
direction of the Department Director/Manager/ CT Lead, the Computed
Tomogradphy Technologist is responsible for producing quality
diagnostic image of human anatomy and vascular structures following
prescribed protocols.
- Performs examinations in a proficient, courteous, and
professional manner so as to favorably promote the services offered
at the facility. -
- To help achieve our mission, you will complete ancillary tasks
to ensure efficient and consistent departmental operations.
- Your ability to demonstrate radiation protection/safety for
patients, staff and self, as outlined in department protocols and
regulatory guidelines, to ensure the safety of the patients and
staff is of vital importance.
- Maintaining equipment, exam rooms and work areas in a neat and
safe condition to ensure the safety of the patients and employees
is required.
- COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret
general business periodicals, professional journals, technical
procedures, regulatory or accreditation requirements - Ability to
effectively present information and respond to questions from
managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- REASONING ABILITY: - Intermediate to High Skills: - Ability to
apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions
furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. - Ability to solve
practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in
situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to
interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral,
diagram, or schedule form. -
- Demonstrates knowledge and ensures compliance with all
regulatory bodies, e.g. The Joint Commission and American College
of Radiology (ACR) and Title 22 standards and guidelines.
- Demonstrates compliance with hospital policies and procedures
at all times.
- Demonstrates strong organization, communication and
interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrates ability to relate to clinical personnel and
medical staff, as well as ability to interact well with the
public.
- Demonstrates ability to perform CT exams independently
- Demonstrates ability to follow physician's orders.
- Demonstrates ability to access patency of IV sites before
injections.
- Demonstrates ability to look up lab values and pull related

Qualifications
Qualifications - -
- High School Graduate or equivalent required.
- Diploma from a certified school of radiologic technology.
- Minimum one-year experience as a registered Computed Tomography
Technologist required, acute care experience preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR Certification through
the American Heart Association required.
- Active American Registry of Radiology Technologists (ARRT)(CT)
license required.
