If you are driven with a "can-do" attitude and eager to support a fast-growing company, this may be the opportunity you have been looking for.JOB TITLE: Senior Technical Specialist - Exercises and WargamesLOCATION: Washington DC (Pentagon)REQUISITION #: NCR-1377-25-USSF COOCLEARANCE REQUIRED: TS/SCIREPORTS TO: SABG Program ManagerFLSA STATUS: Regular Full-Time ExemptSUMMARY: SABG is seeking a Senior Technical Specialist - Exercises and Wargames to support Headquarters United States Space Force, Chief Operations Officer (HQ USSF/ COO). COO is subject to the direction and control of the Chief of Space Operations (CSO) and directs the United States Space Force National Capital Region staff.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Stay proficient in system upgrades and capabilities as new software/systems are brought on-line.
  • Support development of exercise and wargame-related strategy and doctrine. Assist in developing policy, guidance, and orders to USSF Field Commands.
  • Provides advice and guidance on all financial programs for division leadership and Program Element Managers (PEM) to meet program requirements.
  • During Fiscal Year of execution, monitor execution of approved exercise SIF operating budget to track and verify obligations and expenditures to ensure transactions occur in a timely manner. Ensures SIF funds are properly managed to include execution activities, including projections, spending plans, and justifications.
  • Monitor appropriate financial databases, ensuring all SIF transactions are in accordance with audit guidance. Identifies issues, conducts appropriate analysis, and proposes corrective actions. To include preparing, analyzing, interpreting and presenting accounting data; operating, maintaining, and modifying accounting systems; and using accounting information to recommend solutions to management problems. Prepares budget uploads in the financial system of record.
  • Prepares data and coordinates with the other principal analysts in the submission of the quarterly SIF financial report consistent with existing legislative and regulatory guidance and acceptable to reviewing and approving Government authorities.SUPERVISION: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Master's Degree plus a minimum of 15 years of experience in an Operations, Engineering, Scientific, Data Science, Software Programming, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Analysis, Policy of Planning field, or equivalent experience/responsibility.
  • Experience in military Space Operations.ADDITIONAL SKILLS/ EXPERIENCE:
  • Ability to research and draft talking points, briefing documents.
  • Strong verbal, communication, and written skills; ability to create and edit written correspondence.COMPUTER SKILLS:
  • Skilled in operating a personal computer and standard office equipment.
  • Must have proficiency in a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database, (MS Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).COMPETENCIES: To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:
