OverviewHighlight is seeking a Washington, DC-based Lead Front End Developer to support our General Services Administration (GSA) Contract Team. This role will provide technical leadership in developing accessible front-ends and interfaces. The Lead Front End Developer will ensure the development of responsive, accessible, and reusable UI components and Micro Front Ends (MFEs) for a portfolio of systems.About GSAThe GSA is the United States' premier agency dedicated to the procurement of goods and services for the federal government. As a pivotal component of the government infrastructure, GSA is responsible for acquiring and managing space for government operations. It has delivered over $110 billion in goods and services for FY 2024 to civilian and defense agencies.Responsibilities

• Develop and lead front-end development efforts.
• Ensure compliance with Section 508 accessibility standards, implementing best practices in UI/UX development.
• Create consistent, accessible, and scalable interfaces for complex, cloud-native software applications.
• Enhance efficiency through the use of reusable components.
• Ensure application responsiveness across multiple devices and deliver high-impact, user-centric applications.Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Preferred Certifications/Training: Accessibility compliance, 508 testing standards, or accessibility tools.
  • 7 years of experience with Angular, Javascript, HTML, and CSS.
  • 5 years of experience in Agile software development.
  • 2 years of experience utilizing the USWDS.
  • 2 years of experience developing complex software applications on AWS.
  • 2 years of experience implementing reusable software component libraries.
  • 2 years of experience in mobile development.
  • Leading performance testing and code reviews.
