Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead or participate in the design, development, testing, deployment and customization of Oracle APEX and PL/SQL applications
• Ensure applications are scalable, maintainable, secure, and optimized for performance while also driving the integration of new technologies
• Code, test, and debug application programs according to design specifications, ensuring appropriate levels of access and security
• Develop and execute tests to ensure applications meet functional and performance requirements.
• Ensure system stability and performance for existing applications, including troubleshooting and diagnosing issues, performing bug fixes, managing APEX updates, patches, and security enhancementsProject Management and Leadership
  • Serve as the primary architect for APEX implementation strategies
  • Provide technical leadership, training, and mentoring in Oracle APEX to other developers
  • Lead project work groups and serve as the subject matter expert to review and define the scope of new application initiatives
  • Determine project plans, timelines, resource needs, and application concepts. Take ownership of project execution, providing progress reports to leadership, ensuring alignment with business goals, and adjusting plans as necessaryStakeholder Collaboration
    • Collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand business objectives of current and proposed systems including business process evaluation and design
    • Act as a technical advisor and ensure alignment of system development with organizational goals
    • Serve as a liaison between business users and technical teams, translating requirements into actionable development tasksDocumentation and Best Practices
      • Create and maintain comprehensive technical and user documentation for application screens, processes, and reports
      • Ensure all applications follow best practices in security, access control, accessibility, and complianceQualificationsRequired Qualifications:
        • A bachelor's degree and four years of work experience with Oracle APEX 5.0 or greater; OR a master's degree and two years of work experience in Oracle APEX 5.0 or greater
        • Proficiency in PL/SQL, SQL and Oracle database management
        • Experience with web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery) and their integration with Oracle APEX
        • Proven track record in developing, testing, and deploying enterprise applications
        • Demonstrated ability to lead development projects
        • Strong leadership and mentoring skills with the ability to guide other developers
        • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders
        • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain relationships at all organizational levels
        • Experience or willingness to lead/manage experienced application developersPreferred Qualifications:
          • Understanding of DevOps toolchain and methodologies, including release management, version control, and CI/CD
          • Knowledge of Oracle E-Business Suite, Oracle Cloud, or other enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
          • Familiarity with data integration tools and processes
          • Experience with system administration, performance tuning, and security best practices for Oracle databases
          • Certifications in Oracle development, database administration, or APEX development
