Division (HUD), part of the Climate Change and Sustainable
Development Sector (CSD), is responsible for developing and
overseeing analytical support and strategic thinking with a
forward-looking vision on cities' sustainability in LAC, thus
seeking to contribute to the goals and commitments included in both
the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the New Urban
Agenda.HUD is looking for a highly motivated professional to work
as a general administration consultant. The main scope of the
consultant work will be to provide support in the areas of process
of contracts and payments, finance, and general coordination
related to HUD operations, such as loans and technical cooperation,
among others.What you'll do:
- Manage the hiring related tasks (contract requests, renewals,
and amendments) of External Product Consultants (PEC) and Corporate
Procurement (PRC) contracts of consulting firms in accordance with
IDB policies and protocols, following up on each contract request
from start to finish.
- Prepare and maintain payment schedules for PECs and PRC
contracts, ensuring contracts are fully disbursed prior to their
expiration dates.
- Process and follow-up on payment requests for external vendors
(Business Partners) both in SAP and Convergence systems, including
Letters of Agreements (LOAs).
- Process Technical Cooperations (TC) funded financial
transactions in Convergence (Special Cases Commitments, commitment
opening for consultants, balance of TC components, etc.)
- Collaborate in developing, improving and maintaining new and
existing financial databases that facilitate the retrieval of
information effectively.
- Provide technical advice to teams regarding budgets,
expenditures, payments, procurement, corporate processes' timelines
and other activities as needed.
- Support HUD TC Monitoring Report exercise by collecting
relevant data and processing adjustments and/or cancellations of
financial commitments, as applicable.
- The aforementioned activities are part of the position's main
responsibilities; however, they do not exclude additional
activities that may be necessary for completing tasks.What you'll
need:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting, business
administration, finance, information technology, or relevant field.
- Experience: You have at least 2 years of relevant professional
experience.
- Languages: Proficiency in Spanish and English, spoken and
written, is required. Additional knowledge of French and Portuguese

- Citizenship: You are a citizen of one of our 48-member
countries.
- Consanguinity: You have no family members (up to the fourth

- Type of contract: International Consultant Full-Time
- Length of contract: 6 months with a possibility of a 12-month
extension
