OverviewLMI is seeking a Software Developer to support our customers' configuration and development objectives. This is a hybrid position reporting to USPS Merrifield, VA facility. A successful software developer will demonstrate competency in Microsoft C#.Net and understand the full software development life cycle (SDLC) while upholding the highest standard of ethical behavior.LMI is a consultancy dedicated to improving the business of government, drawing from deep expertise in advanced analytics, digital services, logistics, and management advisory services. • Design, modify, develop, write, and implement software programming applications.
• Familiar with SDLC, design, plan, and coordinate work teams.
• Support and/or install software applications/operating systems.
• Write instructions for deploying developed software to different environments.
• Debug or troubleshoot application issues independently.
• A wide degree of creativity and attitude is expected for fast-paced R&D environments.
• Typically report to the team lead of the development group.QualificationsRequired Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated competency with Microsoft C# programming language with .Net platform.
  • Skillful with Microsoft Visual Studio IDE with source control software TFS (Team Foundation Server).
  • Adept with C# web application design.
  • Proven ability to deliver products and experience working in an Agile software development lifecycle.
  • Strong familiarity with C#.Net Oracle database interface design and SQL commands.
  • This position requires five (5) or more years of work experience.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a USPS Public trust clearance.Desired Qualifications:
    • Experienced with Microsoft Entity Framework.
    • Working knowledge of web services/web API design.
    • Knowledge and skill in the application of section 508 compliance in UI design.
    • Microsoft Windows system experience, e.g., Win10/11, Windows Servers.
    • Knowledge of Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF).
    • Experience with UI interface design technologies is a plus, e.g., speech recognition, text to speech, and so on.
    • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in area of specialty.
    • Knowledge of other programming languages is a plus.Work Location
      • Position requires a minimum of 2 days per week at USPS Merrifield, VA location.Salary range: $77-120k.
