Job Description:
LightFeather is seeking a highly motivated and mission-driven
ServiceNow Developer to join our team in Washington DC. The ideal
candidate will have hands-on experience in designing, developing,
configuring, and implementing ServiceNow applications and will
provide technical expertise in platform architecture, development
best practices, and system performance optimization. This role
requires experience supporting federal clients and the ability to
work within multiple ServiceNow instances and domains while
ensuring compliance with security and operational standards.This is
a Full Time, Remote Position.Responsibilities:
- Develop, configure, and enhance baseline and custom ServiceNow
applications and modules.
- Work across multiple ServiceNow instances and domains,
providing support to both internal and external customers.
- Adhere to Agile/Scrum development methodologies to efficiently
manage and execute ServiceNow projects.
- Provide technical guidance on ServiceNow best practices, design
standards, and architecture.
- Collaborate with business analysts, systems engineers, and IT
stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into
technical solutions.
- Develop and maintain Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script
Includes, UI Policies, ACLs, and Flow Designer workflows.
- Customize and extend ServiceNow modules, including ITSM, ITAM,
CMDB, Incident Management, Service Catalog, Knowledge Management,
and Service Portal.
- Implement and manage ServiceNow integrations using REST, SOAP,
JDBC, JSON, XML, and MID Server.
- Conduct system performance analysis and optimizations, ensuring
efficient operation and scalability.
- Support platform upgrades, migrations, and new feature rollouts
while maintaining stability.
- Develop custom reports, dashboards, and performance analytics
to support data-driven decision-making.Required Qualifications and
Skills:
- Must possess or be able to obtain a Secret/Top Secret
clearance.
- 3+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience with
expertise in custom development, scripting, and platform
administration.
- Experience with Business Rules, Script Includes, UI Policies,
Client Scripts, Workflow Automations, and Flow Designer.
- Strong understanding of ITIL v3/v4, IT Service Management
(ITSM), and Change/Configuration Management.
- Experience developing and customizing Service Catalogs, Service
Portals, Dashboards, and Knowledge Management.
- Familiarity with CMDB, Discovery, Asset Management, and
Incident/Problem Management modules.
- Experience integrating ServiceNow with external enterprise
applications via APIs, Web Services, and ETL processes.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional
Agile/Scrum team.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to convey
technical concepts to both technical and non-technical
stakeholders.Preferred:
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) - Highly
Preferred
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)
- ITIL v4 Foundation Certification
- Experience working with federal agencies and understanding of
security and compliance requirements.
- Familiarity with ServiceNow Orchestration, Virtual Agent,
Performance Analytics, and Automated Test Framework (ATF).
- Experience with CI/CD tools, version control (Git), and DevOps
best practices within the ServiceNow ecosystem.
- Proficiency in data modeling, analysis, and visualization to
support decision-making.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex ServiceNow issues and
performance bottlenecks.
- Experience mentoring junior developers and conducting code
