Job Description:
Database Developer Position Description CGI Federal is seeking a
motivated and customer-oriented professional to support our US
Courts client. This role involves designing, implementing, and
managing database solutions to ensure data integrity, consistency,
and performance. This position is located in our Fairfax, VA
office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable. Your future
duties and responsibilities Database Design and Development: Design
and implement database schemas, tables, views, indexes, and other
database objects. Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored
procedures, and functions for data extraction, transformation, and
loading (ETL) processes. Create and maintain documentation of
database structures and processes. Data Management and Integration:
Ensure data integrity, consistency, and accuracy across all
database systems. Integrate data from various sources, including
external databases and APIs. Implement data migration and data
warehousing solutions as needed. Performance Tuning and
Optimization: Monitor and optimize database performance, including
query performance tuning and index optimization. Troubleshoot and
resolve database performance issues and provide recommendations for
improvements. Collaboration and Support: Collaborate with data
analysts, IT staff, and other stakeholders to understand data
requirements and provide database solutions. Provide technical
support for database-related issues and assist with user training
on database functionalities. Required qualifications to be
successful in this role 7 years of relevant experience. Experience
with Oracle GoldenGate and SAP BusinessObjects 4.2. Bachelor's
Degree in a relevant field. Ability to obtain and maintain a Public
Trust. Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required:
Desired qualifications: Experience implementing mobile components.
Experience supporting multiple new product and enhancement
releases. CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a
reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The
determination of this range includes various factors not limited to
skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and license and
certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based
performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the
top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are
dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable
estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is
