Resources Business Partner (HRBP) will play a critical role in
supporting the Motion Picture Association, Inc.'s (MPA) global
recruiting and training and development initiatives, and employee
relations for the Washington, D.C. office. This position will be a
strategic partner to assigned business units in Washington, D.C.,
providing guidance and support on a wide range of HR related
matters. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, results-oriented
professional with a strong understanding of recruiting, training,
and employee development best practices with a passion for
fostering a positive and inclusive work environment. The HRBP
reports to the Senior Vice President, Chief Human Resources Officer
(CHRO).Responsibilities:
- Recruitment & Onboarding:
- Manage the full-cycle recruitment efforts for all global
offices, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and
onboarding candidates.
- Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies with
hiring managers to attract top talent.
- Manage MPA's summer internship program with internal
constituents.
- Ensure a positive candidate experience and a smooth onboarding
process.
- Manage relationships with external recruiters and agencies as
needed.
- Training & Development:
- Identify training and development needs with executives and
team managers across all global offices.
- Develop and deliver training programs on various topics,
including compliance, leadership, and professional
development.
- Coordinate and facilitate employee development initiatives,
such as mentoring programs and workshops.
- Maintain accurate training records and track employee
development progress.
- Employee Relations:
- Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on
employee relations matters for assigned business units in the
Washington, D.C. office, including performance management,
disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
- Conduct investigations and resolve employee complaints in a
timely and professional manner under the direction of the
CHRO.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable employment laws and
regulations.
- Promote a positive and inclusive work environment.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and management.
- Other Duties:
- Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned by
the CHRO.
- Stay up to date on HR best practices and industry trends.
- Participate in the Employee Human Resources Group (EHRG), a
networking group of Human Resources professionals that work for an
array of trade associations, located in Washington, D.C., in
collaboration with the CHRO.Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration,
or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 to 7 years of progressive HR experience, with a
focus on recruitment, training and development, and employee
relations.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving
skills.
- Ability to build strong relationships with employees at all
levels of the organization.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet
deadlines.
- Experience working in a global organization is a plus.
- Experience working with HRIS systems, specifically Workday
HRIS.
- SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred.
- Experience with international recruiting is a strong plus.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive
information with discretion.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel,
PowerPoint).
