If you are unable to complete this application due to a disability, contact this employer to ask for an accommodation or an alternative application process.Human Resources Business PartnerFull Time Director Washington, DC, US5 days ago Requisition ID: 1479Salary Range: $120,000.00 To $130,000.00 AnnuallyThe Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) will play a critical role in supporting the Motion Picture Association, Inc.'s (MPA) global recruiting and training and development initiatives, and employee relations for the Washington, D.C. office. This position will be a strategic partner to assigned business units in Washington, D.C., providing guidance and support on a wide range of HR related matters. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, results-oriented professional with a strong understanding of recruiting, training, and employee development best practices with a passion for fostering a positive and inclusive work environment. The HRBP reports to the Senior Vice President, Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO).Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment & Onboarding:
    • Manage the full-cycle recruitment efforts for all global offices, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding candidates.
    • Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies with hiring managers to attract top talent.
    • Manage MPA's summer internship program with internal constituents.
    • Ensure a positive candidate experience and a smooth onboarding process.
    • Manage relationships with external recruiters and agencies as needed.
    • Training & Development:
      • Identify training and development needs with executives and team managers across all global offices.
      • Develop and deliver training programs on various topics, including compliance, leadership, and professional development.
      • Coordinate and facilitate employee development initiatives, such as mentoring programs and workshops.
      • Maintain accurate training records and track employee development progress.
      • Employee Relations:
        • Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on employee relations matters for assigned business units in the Washington, D.C. office, including performance management, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
        • Conduct investigations and resolve employee complaints in a timely and professional manner under the direction of the CHRO.
        • Ensure compliance with all applicable employment laws and regulations.
        • Promote a positive and inclusive work environment.
        • Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and management.
        • Other Duties:
          • Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned by the CHRO.
          • Stay up to date on HR best practices and industry trends.
          • Participate in the Employee Human Resources Group (EHRG), a networking group of Human Resources professionals that work for an array of trade associations, located in Washington, D.C., in collaboration with the CHRO.Qualifications:
            • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field.
            • Minimum of 5 to 7 years of progressive HR experience, with a focus on recruitment, training and development, and employee relations.
            • Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
            • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
            • Ability to build strong relationships with employees at all levels of the organization.
            • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
            • Experience working in a global organization is a plus.
            • Experience working with HRIS systems, specifically Workday HRIS.
            • SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred.
            • Experience with international recruiting is a strong plus.
            • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
            • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
