$117,880.47 - $212,096.80Responsibilities:The Business Development
Senior Manager Costco Team Lead will be responsible for the
successful achievement of the ongoing Merchandising, Assortment,
Pricing and Shelving objectives established each fiscal year for
the assigned customers. The key competencies associated with this

direct sales responsibility for Costco HQ Branded and PL
initiatives, Costco Regional management, and responsibility for
Costco's International business (Mexico, Asia, Europe).Achieve
Fiscal Year Financials:
- Direct and deliver key financial metrics versus AOP sales with
an aligned trade spend planIn-Market Execution:
- Develop customer specific objectives in support of Del Monte's
strategic plan
- Merchandising: Execute against key event merchandising
objectives
- Pricing: Manage everyday pricing within GTMS
- GDP's: Grow GDP's/maintain share of GDP'sCustomer Development:
- Direct and drive JCBP partnership at appropriate levels of
Costco Corp and Regional offices
- New Item Selling and New Item Development: Deliver new item
objectives
- Develop and submit KS/Private Label bids and contracts for
current and new distribution opportunities
- Work with Corporate buying team to facilitate and implement
labels/graphics and packaging changes as appropriate.
- Lead and coordinate all Plant Tours content, logistics and
attendance on an ongoing basis
- Develop and gain alignment of KS forecast in accordance with
the existing contracts
- Work with International buyers to provide all required
documentation for international regulatory compliance
- Train/educate internal teams on Costco business
requirements
- Develop and track annual CY plans with strategies to deliver
continued growth over the next 2-3 years; share progress with
senior management on a quarterly/bi-annual basis.
- Effectively engage and leverage cross functional resources (HQ
Business Unit, CD, Shopper Marketing, Retail Operations, Supply
Chain) to exceed/achieve business objectives with assigned
customers.Capabilities:
- Leverage customer development of above identified customers
utilizing cross functional resources such as Marketing, Operations,
Demand Planning, R&D Customer Finance and Business Intelligence
Analytics, to drive volume and share growth.
- Manage the business forecasting for across all business
segments and entry into AMPS/O9. Oversee and provide direction into
the AMPS forecast for the total Costco business region.
- Leverage Customer Development to translate, integrate and
activate Del Monte Consumer strategies into key customer-level

Years of Experience:
- Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree required
- 5 - 10 years region or headquarters retail sales experience in
consumer packaged goods industry or broker
- 3+ years of direct Costco selling experienceRequired Skills:
- Direct and execute all aspects of the fiscal year sales plan
execution:
- Develop and execute a strategic business plan to grow
profitable volume year over year
- Establish customer priorities, objectives and strategies based
on marketplace conditions
- Manage retail execution to ensure optimal shelf presence and
retail conditions
- Review DMFI GTMS with customer for understanding and
compliance
- Ability to navigate complex business situations and to
creatively find solutions to protect/drive the business.
- Solid understanding of P&L financial inputs.
- Ability to see the bigger picture, quickly assess the situation
and understand all potential implications.
- Forecasting and general understanding of the pack
business.
- Must possess strong analytical and strategic skills.
- Self-starter, high integrity, team player.
- Identify and understand customer's needs, and successfully
interface with CD to customize plans that best meet the customer's
strategic direction while optimizing growth opportunities.
- Manage all aspects of trade spend to ensure DMFI funds are
effectively utilized equitably with promotional strategies to
achieve merchandising objectives.
- Analyze and pursue innovative incremental growth opportunities
and strategies as appropriate.
- Manage internal resources to resolve promotion related
deductions and forecast promotional demand.
- Leverage cross functional support groups (Sales Finance, Supply
Chain, R&D, Packaging, Regulatory, Category Leadership, CD) to
drive growth, provide insights and improve customer services.
- Analyze customer, category and channel data to develop
insights, solutions and recommendations to drive profitable growth
for the customer and DMFI.Special Requirements:
- Deep knowledge of Costco culture and go to market
strategy.
- Experience developing and launching KS items (in D13 a
plus).
- Proven record of success in retail grocery industry with
consumer-packaged goods or broker experience.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills to influence
customer contacts.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as
excellent interpersonal skills and analytical and problem-solving
abilities.
- Strong computer proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Nielsen or
other syndicated data and competent in PowerPoint.WE OFFER:
