About the Role:

Thames Street Oyster House is seeking an experienced culinary professional to fill the position of Sous Chef. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality and consistency in our dishes.

Responsibilities:

  • Work shifts on the line and ensure seamless execution of dishes
  • Lead and motivate kitchen staff to achieve exceptional results
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef to maintain and improve menu offerings
  • Contribute to the development of seasonal menu changes
  • Manage food and labor costs, and maintain high levels of cleanliness and sanitation
  • Teach and develop kitchen staff, and sometimes interns
    Requirements:
    • Several years of experience as a lead line cook in a moderate to high-volume upscale-casual or fine-dining restaurant
    • Culinary degree or similar work experience
