Collaborates with teams to collect data pre/post-procedure and prepare patients for procedures in Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology (CVIR). Safely and competently operates all radiographic, processing, and inventory equipment in CVIR. Acts as a Liaison between physician, family, and other interdepartmental units. Participates with teams in unit assignment quality assurance projects.Shift: Full Time, (4) 10-hour shiftsHours: 7:30 am to 18:30 pmLocation: Alexandria HospitalJob Responsibilities- Assists RNs to accurately explain procedures to patients and families to ease anxiety.- Troubleshoots equipment effectively and places service calls to Biomedical when necessary.- Anticipates procedure flow and works with other team members to produce the highest quality care.- Provides a safe environment and identifies hazards immediately. Follows unit protocols to take corrective actions as needed.- Demonstrates proficiency in imaging modalities in Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology such as digital, laser printing, and cut film.Requirements for Consideration:- Graduate of an accredited school of Radiography; Associate or higher degree preferred- ARRT registry in Vascular Interventional (VI), Cardiovascular (CV) or Cardiovascular Interventional(CI) required.- Minimum one year of work experience as a Cardiovascular Interventional Radiology Technologist.- Basic Life Support from the American Heart AssociationInova Job ID #655641.
