HonorVet Technologies is seeking a travel nurse RN Behavioral
Health for a travel nursing job in Washington, District of
Columbia.Job Description & Requirements
Title - RN - Behavioral Health
Duration - 13 weeks (Extendable)
Shift - Days/Nights available
must live 50 miles away
Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program required
BLS required
DC RN license required
Prefer one year full time or three years part time experience in
acute care setting.
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to remain calm and focused during high-pressure
situations.
Commitment to upholding the highest standards of patient care and
safety.
Demonstrate a proven track record of commitment, with the ability
to sustain employment for a minimum of two years. This requirement
underscores our dedication to fostering long-term relationships
with our team members and ensuring stability within our
organization.
Our ideal candidate will provide a safe, competent nursing care for
patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and
philosophy. This RN will work with Psychologists, Psychiatrists,
and Physicians to offer psychiatric and behavioral care. As a
behavioral health nurse duties include helping patients perform
exercises to change thought patterns or habits and assisting with
relaxation techniques for stress management or pain management.
Provides professional leadership and support to the healthcare
team. The concepts of Patient Centered Care will provide the
foundation for all nursing care. Demonstrates Service Excellence
