• Clinical supervision for licensed social workers and counselorsJOB SUMMARY: The Medical Billing Specialist is responsible for entering authorizations into the billing software and researching denied claims for the Adult and Children Clinical Services Mental Health Division.ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Enter authorizations in electronic medical billing using Credible Software.
• Follow up on Batch Claim Error Report and update billing system with corrections.
• Assist Finance Billing personnel with corrections for any claims denied or exceptions not paid due to an error.
• Research and correct any exception identified by Finance Billing personnel.
• Check and report on client service eligibility monthly and record correct information in Credible.
• Enter appropriate Insurance in Credible software.
• Provide support and assistance to the Program Accounting Managers and the financial management team.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:Associate of Arts degree in Business or Accounting.2 years' experience in medical billing.SKILLS and COMPETENCIES:
  • Knowledge of Credible billing software and competence in Microsoft Office software especially Excel.
