- Fulfills the needs of the patients, families and community by
performing a variety of routine and intensive therapy, diagnostic
procedures and patient assessments in accordance with his/her
licensure, certification, training, and regulatory
requirements.
- Maintains and stocks respiratory equipment. Ensures ventilator
and life support equipment are operable.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Effective interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to adapt to multiple and changing priorities
- Basic computer skills and customer service skills required
- Must be able to identify and competently address needs of
population served
- A minimum of 0 to 1 year full time experience as a Certified

Qualifications
Qualifications -
- Graduation from an approved two-year respiratory therapist
program
- Licensed by the District of Columbia Health Regulation
- Licensed as an RRT Registered Respiratory Therapist and
certified by NBRC.
- Licensed as a CRT Certified Respiratory Therapist or RRT (to
become registered within a year)
- Registered Respiratory Therapist and approved by NBRC
- BLS Basic Life Support for Health Care Professionals
required

- ACLS and PALS within six months of hire
- Excellent critical thinking, communication, and problem-solving
skills. -
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a
fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
