Inova Fairfax Medical Center Echo Lab is an advanced echo imagining center with a strong emphasis on clinical excellence, education, innovation, and research. Our lab is nationally accredited through the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission and is comprised of over 15 sonographers and 20 physicians who support our award-winning clinical programs and hospital. As a Cardiovascular Sonographer, you will have the opportunity to perform and participate in the following clinical areas for both inpatient and outpatients: Transthoracic echocardiograms Transesophageal echocardiograms Exercise and Dobutamine echocardiograms Structural Heart Program (TAVR, TMVR, Mitra-Clip, Watchman Device) Advanced Pulmonary Hypertension Program (3D RV assessment) Heart Failure Program (LVAD, ECMO, Impella, Transplant) Cardio-Oncology Program Research protocols Specialized protocols (strain, 3D assessment, contrast) The lab has a full fleet of updated Philips machines with advanced 3D and strain imaging technology available and offers regular educational opportunities to assist in developing your knowledge and skill set. Requirements: Experience: One year of experience after acquiring registry in a hospital/healthcare environment in the performance of cardiac or vascular sonography Education: Graduate of an accredited school/program of diagnostic medical sonography or 5 years specialized training in a hospital/healthcare setting Certification(s): ARDMS Registered with RDCS Certification, or CCI Registered with RCS Certification for Echo, or ARDMS with RVT or CCI with the RVS; Certification for Vascular. BLS (AHA) Hours/Schedule: Full-time; facility hours are 8 or 10 hour shifts - 6:30a-5p M-F, 7a-12p Sat & Sun; Team Members are required to rotate through weekends, call, and holidays.
