The New Graduate Nurse Residency Program at -MedStar Georgetown

for the Vizient/American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN)
Nurse Residency Program.

Our year-long New Graduate Nurse Residency program provides the
mentoring and support you need to transition from student nurse to
professional nurse. You'll be provided a three- to five-month
unit-based orientation, attend monthly seminars and learning
activities, formulate an individual professional development plan,
and complete an Evidence-Based Practice (EBP) project related to a
unit specialty of your choice.

Nurse you will deliver proficient nursing care to patients and
families whose needs range from uncomplicated to highly complex.
You will identify current and potential complex problems of
specific patient populations and critically analyzes trends and
changes in patient status and plans appropriate interventions
