and behavioral health conditions. The Senior Director of
Perioperative Services provides strategic and operational oversight
for WellSpan York Hospital (WYH) Perioperative Services to include,
Operating Rooms, PACU, Central Sterile Processing, GI labs, Pain
Management, Robotics and Pre-operative.Opportunity Highlights:Tower
Expansion: The WellSpan York Hospital Surgical & Critical Care
Tower expansion project is one of the most significant healthcare
projects our regional community has seen. This $427 million
investment is designed to meet the growing healthcare needs of our
region, and were thrilled to bring this level of advanced,
specialty care to central Pennsylvania. The project which is
currently underway includes 21 state-of-the-art, larger surgical
suites, and four hybrid ORs for complex vascular, neuro, and
cardiac procedures.Opportunity to operationalize state of the art
operating rooms and interventional procedural area within the
operating room suite, and a new pre-operative and PACU recovery
unit.Integration of the Advanced Procedural Unit.Oversight of
Central Sterilization DepartmentOversight of the Gastrointestinal
UnitOversight of pre-admission testing unit (PHAUS)Innovative
Surgical Services Program: Oversee and advance a market-leading
surgical services program equipped with the latest technology, and
advanced equipment. Ensure compliance with contracts for equipment,
service, and maintenance, maintaining our position as a leader in
surgical care.Progressive and Innovative Leadership Team and
Surgical Specialty Teams : Join a forward-thinking
multidisciplinary leadership team dedicated to advancing healthcare
through collaboration and innovation.Duties and
ResponsibilitiesProvides administrative and operational support for
strategic growth plans related to Peri-operative Services.Oversees
programmatic components listed in general summary and ensures
adherence to accreditation and regulatory standards.Prepares annual
capital and operating budgets and monitors variable costsEngaged in
the design/build of a new Surgical and Critical Care TowerActive
participant in the WSH and WYH Surgical Governance
Committees.Monitors departmental activities and reports on quality
statistical data,Assists in and collaborates with marketing to
develop and implement marketing plans.Ensure compliance with
contracts including equipment, service, and maintenanceEnhances the
professional growth and development of the Peri-op teamDemonstrates
knowledge in the Lean Management System and drives progress towards
achieving High-Reliability performance.Service orientation, fosters
teamwork and fosters improvements and innovationWorks within a
matrixed organization to ensure longitudinal care of the surgical
patient populationRecommends staffing levels, selects and assigns
staff, evaluates performance, evaluates/tests competencies (as
applicable), provides orientation, training and continuing
education of staff, and initiates or makes recommendations for
personnel actions.Develops, establishes and implements goals,
objectives, and policies and procedures for department/service
line/entity operation, and which guide and support the provision of
the department/service line/entity's services.Demonstrates a
commitment to patient, visitor and staff by: complying with all
applicable safety regulations; learning the impact of medical
errors and methodology that will lead to reduction of errors;
reporting actual and potential errors, as well as hazardous
conditions; identifying opportunities to standardize processes and
'error proof' systems that will lead to increased safety; and
participating in safety education programs and root cause analyses

approximately 600 beds.QualificationsMinimum Education:Masters
Degree RequiredWork Experience:3 years Peri-operative experience.
Required and3 years Leadership experience in an acute care
hospital. RequiredLeadership experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center
with a minimum of fifteen operating rooms
preferred.Licenses:Licensed Registered Nurse Upon Hire Required
