We meet immediate needs with food, clothing, and healthcare and offer the tools one needs to live with hope, dignity, and greater independence.SOME is currently seeking a full-time Program Director, Residential Recovery Services for our Single Adult Housing (SAH) programs.Position Description: The Program Director, Recovery Support Services will collaborate with leadership staff in residential programs to provide direction and oversight of recovery programming, including the Department of Behavioral Health (DBH) Recovery Support Services (RSS), the Single Adult Housing's Rapid Re-engagement Program (RRP), and collaboration with Leland Transitional staff, coordinating housing services for tenants entering SAH from WV treatment and Leland housing. The position supervises staff who provide addiction counseling and recovery support services for SAH residents and transitional residents preparing for SAH residency. This position acts as a liaison for all SAH legal concerns, providing expert insight to support residents and SOME respectively.Qualifications:Required: Master's Degree in Social Services or related field; 5-7 years of experience providing recovery services, case management, or addiction treatment.Preferred: 5-7 years of experience in case management with experience providing services in addiction treatment; experience providing services to the HIV population; 1-3 years of experience in leadership or supervisory duties.Required License/Certification: CPR and First Aid certification. If Master's level degree, requires licensure by the Department of Health and Licensing Board; the incumbent must possess the appropriate certification.Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9:00 am - 5:30 pm with one designated late day.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of social services resources within DC
  • Knowledge of and ability to provide group/individual services
  • Ability to implement crisis intervention techniques and de-escalate highly tense situations
  • Knowledge of Core Service Agencies, dually diagnosed clients, crisis care facilities, and other mental health community resources
  • Knowledge of case management approaches
  • Ability to travel to and from various programs
  • Ability to multi-task, despite competing priorities
  • Ability to complete and maintain documentation based on program requirements, following established guidelines and time frames
  • Experience working with diverse populationsExpected Contributions:
    • Provide assistance and leadership with overseeing all recovery and addiction-related services in SAH, which includes Recovery Support Services (RSS), Leland Liaison, and Rapid Re-Engagement.
    • Responsible for coordinating meetings with SAH program staff and residents to ensure the integration of recovery services into the resident life plan.
    • Provide RSS and ES services in accordance with DBH regulations, including assessments, goal planning, direct service implementation, and timely documentation of progress notes. Ensure progress notes are documented properly and within established time frames to ensure timely billing.
    • Establish service delivery expectations (quantity and frequency of client visits, group meetings, etc.) with supervisor and ensure that individual service delivery expectations are met for self and direct reports.
    • Coordinate and oversee all requests for inpatient treatment, Detox, and other emergency services.
    • Responsible for attending drug and alcohol violation court cases and providing legal assistance to include recommendations and testimony where applicable.
    • Maintain all required documents and input information into DATA/WITS, DBH database system.
    • Maintain tracking information on residents in the Rapid Re-engagement Program.
    • Complete updated census for Residents in Environmental Stability and send to designated staff at the Department of Behavioral Health.
    • Ensure appropriate department staffing levels in order to meet objectives; assess, evaluate, and hire new employees as needed.
    • Contribute to budget development and use sound judgment to leverage resources in accomplishing department goals; administer budget and comply with SOME financial reporting requirements.
    • Define work requirements, assign tasks to staff members, and review work for quality and accuracy.
    • Provide weekly feedback on performance, conduct performance evaluations, and take steps for performance improvement as needed.Reports to: VP, Single Adult HousingPhysical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds.
