Program Manager for Departmentwide Cyber Security
ServicesResponsibilitiesPeraton has an immediate need for a
Technical Cybersecurity Program Manager. This is a Hybrid position-
occasional telework. The qualified candidate must be local to the
DMV (DC, MD, & VA) area.As a Program Manager for a Cyber Security
Program, the candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day
management of the contract including staffing, financial
management, as well as technical and programmatic reporting. He/she
will be responsible for overseeing employees and subcontractors. A
familiarity with and ability to manage LOE and completion contract
types is key as well as a basic understanding of cost reimbursable
contracts. Candidate will direct the work of employees and
subcontractors assigned to the program from the technical and
administrative areas and provides leadership and mentoring to the
team. The candidate is expected to work seamlessly with the COTR
and key customer decision makers to maintain the
technical/cost/schedule baseline and generate deliverables. The
Program Manager/Task Order Lead will work with the customer to
define tasks and set expectations.Responsible for the successful
technical, schedule, and cost performance of a major program in
accordance with contract requirements and company policies,
procedures, and guidelines. Prepare Staffing Plans, including skill
and labor mix, to support contract operations. May be responsible
for recruiting, interviewing, and hiring staff. Assign staff and
provide technical direction as necessary to complete tasks. Monitor
contract, subcontract, and funding; prepare forecasts of program
financial performance. Develop and deliver required contract,
departmental, project and/or financial reports. Assist new staff
members in starting work on new tasks. Coordinate with Security on
crossover and orientation and provide time and attendance
instructions and assistance as needed.What you will do:
- Resource should have significant experience managing technical
programs (ideally Cybersecurity) in a large IT enterprise.
- Manage / plan work for multiple teams.
- Drive weekly sprints; define quarterly/annual goals.
- Define and develop metrics to measure key indicators including
value, efficiency, and effectiveness.
- Experience transitioning projects/services into on-going
operational modes.
- Prepare justifications and business cases for recommendations
on Cybersecurity initiatives.
- Make recommendations of staffing and quality improvement
initiatives.
- Exceptional communications, both oral and written.
- Develop and present program status/ metrics to management.
- Identify roadblocks and propose effective solutions.
- Ability to positively influence peer organization and key
stakeholders.
- Technical background and experience with boundary and end-point
protection services such as Intrusion prevention (network and host
based), Firewalls, Anti-virus, email security, and Web application
security.QualificationsRequired Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Management
(IM), Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent with 8
years of technical experience, 6 years' experience in IT Security
at senior management or a BS Computer Science, Information
Management (IM), Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent
and 12 years with 8 years at senior levels equivalent.
- A Project Management Professional (PMP) certification (or
equivalent).
- Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) 4
Foundation.
- 4 years of experience in cybersecurity OR 6 years of documented
cybersecurity project management experience.
- 5+ years of experience leading people and teams.
- Strong understanding of Cyber and IT security risks, threats
and prevention measures.
- Solid experience in secure system architecture and
infrastructure design and development skills.
- Good understanding of security standards and best
practices.
- Strong risk assessment and management skills.
- Extensive understanding of networking and network
security.
- Comprehensive knowledge of relevant security tools and
products.
- Solid project management skills.
- Must be a US Citizen or a Green Card Holder- must have 3 years
of US Residency on the Green Card.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain the required agency
clearance.Preferred Qualifications:

$282,000. This represents the typical salary range for this
