Lowell School in Washington, DC, is seeking an energetic person for our Summer program (Summer Stage - Gotta Have Glee); this will be an immediate hire. Seeking a theatre director to help create and direct two fully staged shows for 3rd-9th graders this summer. This is an 8-week position.Are you passionate about working with kids and helping them reach their goals? Applicants must be enthusiastic, creative, responsible, flexible, and a team player.Experience and interest in theatre and improv for kids and teens is important.Qualifications:

• Demonstrated teaching and classroom experience
• Ability to teach and lead various literacy and math exercises
• Excellent character, integrity, and adaptability
• Ability to communicate and work with a variety of age and skill levels
• The desire and ability to work in a cooperative, team-oriented atmosphere
• Enthusiasm, sense of humor, patience, and self-control
• Completed at least one year of classroom teaching, at least 18 years of age, or successful employmentAND THE THREE MOST IMPORTANT QUALITIES YOU MUST POSSESS:
• Tons of energy (and we mean tons!!)
