Job Description
- Collaborate with the Project Manager and Project Engineer to
plan, organize, and direct the construction project according to
schedule, specifications, and budget.
- Oversee construction activities on-site, ensuring that general
contractors and subcontractors maintain high standards of quality
and safety.
- Develop daily Hazardous Work Permits (HWP's) and conduct safety
briefings with the site team.
- Review and approve contractor Job Safety Analysis (JHA's) on a
daily basis.
- Ensure compliance with all contract documents, engineering
practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct quality assurance and safety inspections throughout the
construction process.
- Maintain up-to-date construction documentation, including
statements of work (SOW) and related materials.
- Monitor and procure necessary equipment and materials, ensuring
timely availability to meet project deadlines.
- Plan and schedule all construction operations, ensuring all
phases are completed on time.
- Identify, mitigate, and track construction issues, responding
to delays or emergencies efficiently.
- Conduct Pre-Start-up inspections and maintain pre-start-up
checklists.
- Report progress to management and address any concerns
promptly.Skills Required
- Working knowledge of Civil, Mechanical, and Electrical
Construction, including utilities.
- Proficient in interpreting technical drawings, including
Pressure & Instrument Diagrams (P&ID's) and contracts.
- Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and scheduling
methods.
- Strong ability to manage construction projects with a focus on
quality control and safety.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the
ability to provide clear weekly reports.
- Ability to work well under pressure and address unforeseen
project disruptions
effectively.Education/Training/Certifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
- 2 - 4 years of higher education preferred.
- 5+ years of industrial construction experience (Oil and Gas
experience preferred).Additional Requirements
- Must be able to drive own vehicle to and from working
site.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
- Knowledge of Construction Safety Practices and OSHA
regulations.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage
