Job Description:

A company is looking for a Medical Director, Utilization Management - Remote.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct coverage reviews and render determinations for various medical services, including spine surgery
Document clinical review findings and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
Engage with providers in peer-to-peer discussions and coordinate coverage reviews with clinical staff

Required Qualifications

Current, active and unrestricted medical license
Board Certification in an ABMS specialty (Family Medicine, Orthopedic Surgery, Spine Surgery, Internal Medicine, or PM&R)
5+ years of clinical practice experience post-residency
Sound understanding of Evidence Based Medicine (EBM)
Proficient with MS Office applications
